Utah's apprenticeship program is a legal way to obtain your nail tech license. Our program is offered in Orem, UT.
Gabrielle is a licensed nail tech instructor & has been mentoring, training, and teaching for 2+ years, with licensing apprentices since January 2024. Gabrielle holds degrees from Utah Valley University and graduated from Mountainland Technical College's nail technician program in 2020.
Gabrielle speaks Spanish and English and is a tremendous believer in Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+, feminism and equal rights.
Utah has a 375 hour requirement, with 10% of those hours being in theory before working on clients. Everything an apprentice needs is provided to them or for them during the program. Hours are flexible and based on current apprentices, upcoming rounds of apprentices and your needs. Completing the program and passing both state boards will accomplish the steps needed to gain your nail tech license.
Our program is currently priced at $8,000. Latest formulas estimate the cost of this course should cost at least $9,000 for quality of education and added elements. A professional kit is included with all the basic supplies one needs to get out on their own. A deposit of $1,000 is required of the $8,000 to secure your spot. Our waitlist usually has between 10-15 people at a time, with most able to enter the program in about 4 months.

Apprentices make 100% of their income from clients as well as 100% of tips. Apprentice work on a self-employed basis and set their own prices. Gabrielle works with each apprentices to accurately price services as well as build a business throughout.
